Light In The Dark
by P.J. Sutherland
I cannot see him clearly,
But I know he is there in the dark.
With his caring blue eyes
His pale cheek wearing my mark.
I cannot fight this feeling
Running like a fire to the core of me.
The scent of him lingers.
Memory of his taste still inflames me.
I can sense his every move
Tall and strong, yet gracefully slim.
He must become my mate
My fevered blood cries out for him
What little light we have
Is reflected in those pools of blue,
The windows of his soul,
Painting his hair with a golden hue.
I know that he desires me
And taunt him with my knowledge
His scent fills my nostrils
Sweet, sensual with an earthy edge.
His resistance weakens
His eyes darken with passion's fire
He gently kisses my lips
I feel his body tremble with desire
Triumph stirs my blood
As his mouth claims me once more
The sweet taste of him
Fills my mouth and makes me soar
My body shakes with rage
Bereft of warmth, dazed and weak
My mind hears his voice
Soft and sincere, I hear him speak
He dares to reject me
He is my mate, no other will do
I have tasted his blood
A cold darkness claims me anew
The sun lights his face
I hear his voice whispering
He will be my mate
Words that make my heart sing
Taste, scent, I claim him
Desire is a flame consuming me
His body conquers mine
But our joy was not meant to be
Who pulls him from me
I must destroy this arrogant ass
Fury consumes my soul
Slowly the fever begins to pass
We must forget it now
Just pretend it never happened
I never tasted him
My blood fever is now ended
He stands so close to me
He liked my big bad Klingon side
Careful what you wish for
His startled blue eyes open wide
Fini??
